Homemade Sailor Jacks (Old-Fashioned Spiced Molasses Muffins)
Homemade Sailor Jacks are a classic old-world treat — soft, warmly spiced muffins made with molasses, cocoa, raisins, and comforting winter spices. Traditionally enjoyed by sailors because they stayed moist for days, these little cakes are rich, fragrant, and perfect with coffee, tea, or milk.
You can enjoy them plain, with butter or jam, or lightly dipped in milk or tea just like they were historically served.
