Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
Step 2: Cream the Butter & Sugar
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar using a hand mixer or

the bowl to remove any unmixed sugar.

Continue mixing on low speed until a soft dough forms.

Roll each portion into a ball, then flatten gently into a
1/2-inch thick disk. Place on the lined baking sheets, spacing them evenly.
Step 6: Bake
Bake the cookies for 15 minutes, rotating the tray halfway through.
The tops should remain pale while the bottoms turn lightly golden.
Step 7: Cool
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking tray for 10 minutes.
Then move them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Step 8: Coat in Powdered Sugar
Once the cookies are cooled (still slightly warm inside), roll them gently in
powdered sugar until well-coated.
Repeat if you prefer a thicker sugar coating.
